Michael D’Andrea
Michael D’Andrea is a classically trained musician and was a music educator in northern New Jersey for many years. Among other things, his resume includes classical training as a violinist at Julliard, forty years as a music educator in the Palisades Park school system, membership in the Masterworks Chorus and extensive experience as a vocal coach. His Barbershop career includes membership in The Montclair Dapper Dans of Harmony and The Rahway Valley Jerseyaires. He serves as Vice-president of Music and Performance in both choruses. Additionally, he is a member of several quartets including Joint Effort, Yo, Just Yo and Friends and Family. He is known as “coach” to the boys, a nickname earned after spending many years as the varsity wrestling coach in Palisades Park. Mike and his wife Nancy reside in West Paterson with Lady, their Golden Retriever and the seemingly endless stream of quartets he coaches in his basement studio.
